This gantry crane probably had the longest travel distance of any in Pyestock. Not only could it be used to remove and replace the working section cover, but it could also move outside to pick up and drop the gas turbines under test, and presumably also travel out along the entire length of the cell, through the covered section and onto the suction mains.
