The Buildings

home | the buildings | cell 3 (630) | further pictures...

Having walked down Weir Road, we turn left onto G Road, before capturing the panorama of this corner of Pyestock. It is largely dominated by the Air House (to the left) and Cell 4 (to the right). The Cell 3 building is small by comparison but the underground cell travels from the small main Cell 3 building all the way to the suction mains in the distance.

Weir Road also marks the route of Monks Tunnel which links the main Cell 3 building to the Computer Building (just behind us). This carries all the wiring connecting the cell to its remote control room.

The supersonic section of Pyestock looking west: The Airhouse, Cell 3 (and its gantry going into the distance) and Cell 4 (just off picture).
