Cell 4 was the largest ground-level testing cell built at Pyestock. As part of the supersonic expansion of the early 1960s, its huge anonymous bulk was built in the heavily industrialised north-west corner of the site.

This is the view of the building from G Road outside the Sigma Building. The left half with the dirty light-brown cladding is Number 9 Exhauster whilst the whiter half is Cell 4.

The western flank of Number 9 Exhauster (in light yellow steel cladding) and the adjoining Cell 4 (in grey steel cladding).
